Los Angeles, CA - Apparently, seeing Ernie Halter was supposed to be the surprise for Bieber's girl friend, Selena Gomez. However, it was Ernie who was surprised the most. According to Halter, "a few days ago, I got a message from my mom saying she thought Justin Bieber covered one of my songs" which initially he was in disbelief. Then this youTube video showed up from Bieber's show in Hong Kong . . .



Sure enough, the Biebs covered "Come Home to Me" a track from Ernie's lastest release "Franklin & Vermont". If this weren't enough, it seems as though Justin also did a studio cover of it as well which I found a version of on SoundCloud

   Wasting Light, Foo Fighters 7th studio record, scheduled to be released on April 12th is a definite must have!  It is a straight forward, without circumlocution, no nonsense rock album that meets all the listener's musical needs.  From the echoes of Alex Lifeson, "Rope" brings the reminiscence of Rush.  If you were to throw Black Sabbath, Blink 182 & .38 Special in a blender, you would have a tasty concoction in "A Matter of Time". There is definitely a Them Crooked Vultures influence which is also not a bad thing. It is my goal when reviewing a new album to try to figure out what the artist was listening to and influenced by when creating and recording.  In addition, to draw past musically flavored references to give you an idea of what to expect and why you should part with your hard earned money to own it. I think Grohl had these groups in his iPod at the time of conception,  Smithereens, Rush, .38 Special, Tommy Tutone, Golden Earring, The Who, Black Sabbath, Blink182 and the Beatles.

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, political activist and System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian releases his digital only Imperfect Remixes EP today on Serjical Strike/Reprise Records. DENVER, COLORADO - Organizers of the Mile High Music Festival announced today that they will not host the event in 2011, citing the current economic climate as the contributing factor.

“It was not an easy decision to put the festival on hold,” says Chuck Morris, President and CEO of AEG Live Rocky Mountain Region. “We are really proud of the event, and we’re not ruling out the possibility of bringing it back in the future.”

For the past three years, the Festival hosted top acts such as the Dave Matthews Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, John Mayer, Widespread Panic, Tool, The Fray and Jack Johnson at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.
