Just Off Turner Review at the Derby

 Here was the set list.

The band was great and had to overcome some house technical difficulties. You can do that when you have real talent. Rise above the obstacles that is. The highlight was a cover of the Radiohead song, Just. It was awesome. I wish I could say the same for the Derby. Service was marginal, sound service left something to be desired, and the management experience was less than accommodating. Great Band, good set, less than average location. Next stop Hotel Cafe or the Viper Room maybe.  

One thing I was impressed about was that when I got to the door, instead of 'printing' a ticket for the discount I simply pulled up the posted ticket on the site on the blackberry and they accepted it in all good green conscienceness.


Friday night and bored out of your skull?  Don't go to the same old club, pay $15 to park $20 to get in only to find out that they raised the already too high prices on the way to watered down drinks, again!  You were hoping to drown your sorrows of the recession and $4-a-gallon gas prices (only if your Grey Goose and RedBull were $4 a gallon).  Make your way on over to the Derby to see the best local band — Just Off Turner.  See you there at 8pm, band goes on 11:15.  Why 8 if the y go on at 11?  Did I forget to mention OPEN BAR from 8 to 9!  High Five! Make sure you print the ticket below to save $5 of the cover (normally $15 / $10 with ticket).
