ELEVEN SHOWS ACROSS NORTH AMERICA JUST ANNOUNCED STARTING DECEMBER 1ST IN SAN ANTONIO, TX

How do you top an unprecedented 10-show run on Broadway, the release of a much-lauded studio album (RED CARPET MASSACRE via Epic), a 22-date North American tour, a 25 + show European run, a special one-off performance with Mark Ronson and jaunts to Latin America and Australia? You close out a terrific year with 11 special performances in the USA and Canada.

DURAN DURAN—SIMON LEBON (vocals), NICK RHODES (keyboards), JOHN TAYLOR (bass), and ROGER TAYLOR (drums)—have announced they will roll out the Red Carpet one last time in 2008 with 11 shows beginning December 1st in San Antonio, TX and ending at the newly renovated Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ on December 14th.  Hitting some of the places they were not able to play on their last extended run, DURAN DURAN is back to close out 2008 in ‘red carpet style’.

Playing intimate venues for this world tour finale, the band members are excited to bring their critically acclaimed show back to North America.  “Its late-night-lounge, funk-infused sound stands as proof that Duran Duran has no plans to go quietly into that '80s-retro night,” claims the Washington Post (5/23/08), with the Boston Herald (5/23/08) reminding readers “the tour’s been getting rave reviews from fans, critics and fellow rock stars (the Killers and Billy Corgan have joined the band onstage at different gigs),” and the Miami New Times (5/20/08) affirming, “Better Than: Just about every other show in the last six months by a band existing for more than fifteen years.”
