U2 PERFORMS 'BEAUTIFUL DAY' ON DAVID LETTERMAN DAY 4

The Interview is fun.  Some entertaining banter as per usual sitting in Letterman's chair.  As far as the performance goes, now this is starting to look more like a live rock show.  Somebody finally got it,  it felt more like a live show with the camera angles shown this time for us watching at home anyway.  It was probably the best performance so far of their week long residency.  Good crowd energy (that we can see finally), great song, Bono and company seemed to find the groove on this one.  I was hoping that they would have played 'Stand Up Comedy' however the familarity of 'Beautiful Day' probably added to the fan energy.  Ad libbing the lyrics mentioning the Ramones and the Beatles on Ed Sullivan was entertaining as well, including a nice honoring at the end of Joey Ramone.
