Los Angeles, CA - One Splendid Evening 3-26 was for some a day early on the Mayercraft II, for others a rather pricey benefit show that included Gavin Rossdale, Jordin Sparks, and John Mayer.  Still, there were others who were there for the open bar and food that happen to enjoy some live entertainment as an added bonus.  Or of course D, all of the above.  The show was put on to benefit VH1's Save the Music Foundation, that helps develop long-term, sustainable instrumental music programs that provide children with equal access to music education regardless of their financial situation.  Quite a worthy cause that would motivate some to separate with some cash, to the tune of $1k if you opted for the meet and greet with the artists.  The show however, was definitely worth it.
    Here is the GOOD: Gavin Rossdale's acoustic set, Our seat location, helping the foundation, open bar, boarding early, no lines; 
    the BAD: insanely high ticket prices, running late, not being able to take photos, carrying our own luggage to the room;
    and the SPLENDID: how beautiful the wife is/was, being able to sit and enjoy the music without any other worries, John and Jordin's duet / duel.  If I had to do it again . . . I would.
