SPOILER ALERT AMERICAN IDOL: BURNING QUESTIONS REGARDING SLASH AND WHO GOES HOME SPOILER ALERT

Los Angeles, CA - American Idol kicks off with Alice Cooper's "Schools out for Summer" collaboration with all the finalist and Slash providing the face melting guitar solo.  Ok, so I get the plug / marketing for his new solo project however the burning question is does he lose his cool factor by appearing on AI? Do the harder-core fans fall-off because of this?  Is his street cred turned to street crud?

Yes, it is hard rock week. And yes, no one arguably rocks harder than Slash.  The truth will be reflected in how well the album and ticket sales do, however I don't think it will hurt him at all.  On the contrary, I think he will gain some new fans out of it.  That just goes to show you how relevant he is musically.  Now imagine if Ozzy were to try that? Or Slipknot?  They would fall-off considerably and their fan base would never forgive them.

Ok, so Paula does a little song and dance.  Can someone tell her that ship sailed a number of years back?  If you were to look up what the pop-culture definition of cougar was, there you would find her photo.

Then No Doubt performs "I'm Just a Girl" and I don't know if there were sound issues again with the monitors but Gwen, who I really like, sounded a little off or pitchy at times.  Great energy and crowd but marginal vocal performance.  Just speaking the truth.  I will chalk it up to technical challenges, not her fault . . . still love ya Gwen.

NOW THE SPOILER . . . is it Allison .  .  . Danny . . . . Kris . . . . or Adam . . . .

well apparently America sifted out was.........................

.

...................... Kris who is going home for his home town Parade and is SAFE!

The person who is really going home is ..........................................

First a treat to a performance from season 5's Chris Daughtry, that was pretty solid.  He also left as the number 4 which is who is going home tonight.  This is what you get when you cross Creed and Nickelback and Michael Stipes' barber.  A bit of a country rock flavor.  Obviously his in ear monitors were working fine.  Also Kris presented him with platinum plaque for 5 million records sold worldwide.  Rock On!

Seriously now the person who is really going home is ..........................................

Adam is surprisingly going home after the stellar performance from last night the first time Led Zeppelin on the AI stage. He is going home FOR A PARADE FOR MAKING THE FINAL.

Ok, no more messing around the 3rd finalist and person going home not for a parade . . .

Danny makes the finals and Allison goes home . . . .

but at 17 with a voice like hers I am sure it will not be the last time we hear of her.  Congrats and good luck!
