REVIEW & PODCAST: DAVID RYAN HARRIS @ HOTEL CAFE - JULY 09 RESIDENCY

Hollywood, CA — Wednesday nights, Hollywood Blvd & Cahuenga @ Hotel Cafe . . . David Ryan Harris will exceed your musical expectations on every level.  His talent, that far surpasses that of many more well known artists, is rivaled only by his own diligence for musical perfection.

To further convince you of getting off your . . . couch and getting yourself over to the Hotel Cafe next week, I have included a downloadable podcast for your listening enjoyment to hold you over until then (see link below).  David has come down from the mountain top (in Tennessee I think it was) and has brought with him some new songs that we anxiously anticipate the release of.

David did some cool looping and sequencing with his new footboard especially on the Radiohead cover Subterranean Homesick Alien.  The cool factor could not be measured as the meter broke on this, it was that cool.  Hence the glowing green fingers.

It was quite entertaining when for the better part of Pretty Girl he sang eyes closed, only to open them and look directly at the izod wearing man in the front row.  Akward!  DRH had to stop and laugh, as did we.  I think the guy was equally embarrased yet flattered at the same time.  So don't forget to mark your calendar for Wednesday night for what is truely a treat for the melodical soul.  You will not find a better show or an equal talent at such a great location with an equally great price anywhere.  No Excuses!

here is the live recording of the set - however it is missing one song as the batteries died and needed to be switched. A thousand pardons.
