Jersey City, NJ - APW Festival '09 is now officially history though I am still trying to get that bog smell out of my shoes.  Despite the rain and mud it was quite a success. A feast of great music of all genres, artistic installments, and a plethora of food and drink to choose from was the scene here at Liberty State Park.  With the recent announcement from the Beastie Boys, Adam "MCA" Yauch having early stages of parotid cancer, Jay-Z graciously covered their headlining spot for Friday night.  And in tribute to Adam, he began his set with "No Sleep 'til Brooklyn" upon the beginning of which the crowd erupted.   Chris Martin of Coldplay also paid Adam honors by covering "Fight For Your Right" solo on piano during their headlining set on Sunday.  Our prayers are with Adam and his family as he has surgery this week and begins treatment.  The doctors are very optimistic and expect him to make a full recovery.
